Swiftair Maintenance Ltd at Leicester Airport are approved work on a large variety of light aircraft, and with hangarage for up to 10 aeroplanes, a well equipped workshop, separate spraying area and an extensive aircraft publications library we look forward to meeting all of your aircraft maintenance needs.  We keep a good stock of aircraft parts for the more popular types and parts for many others also.  We have staff experienced in Fabric work, Painting, Metal repairs and Skinning, and also Composite repairs and re-finishing work.  Along with the traditional aircraft types you would associate with a GA maintenance company Swiftair Maintenance Ltd are also looking after a growing fleet of Motor Gliders.

We can also arrange for Avionics modifications and Mode S installation work.

EASA Annexe I Aircraft

With all of our certifying staff holding the new Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence the company has applied to hold the new Part M, Sub-part F approvals so we can service, maintain and repair EASA Annexe I aircraft come September 2008.

Additionally we have applied for Part M, Sub-part G approval with I privileges so with our custom designed aircraft and component management software which is already in use, we can carry out all of the Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) tasks required by EASA to be able to not only issue and re-validate your Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) every 12 months, but also to remotely monitor all component lives, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins and time conditioned tasks applicable to YOUR aircraft.  With this system we can let you know in advance when your aircraft will be due an inspection and plan it into the next service interval to minimize any down time.

EASA Annexe II Aircraft

Lucky enough to own an Annexe II aircraft?  Swiftair Maintenance Ltd maintain BCAR M3 approval and British Aircraft Engineers licenses specifically to meet all the needs of this group of special aircraft owners, with staff experienced on aircraft such as the Chipmunk and Piper Cub what better place to bring your lovely bit of history, of course we do more than just Chipmunks!

N Reg Airplanes  

We are able to offer full support for American N Reg airplanes including annuals and repairs all carried out on site at Leicester.  We can if needed in the future also move N Reg aircraft onto the G register.

LAA (formerly PFA)

We have our own LAA Inspector with experience of plans and kit building who can oversee builds, first flights, repairs and annual permit renewals for all types.  Leicester Aero club has for a long time had many PFA aircraft and members and is an excellent airfield to conduct that 'First flight' from, with many choosing Leicester for this task over the years.  Did you know Leicester has 10 Runway directions to choose from and both hard and grass runways?  With plenty of hangarage and on-site home builder friendly maintenance people what better place to choose.
